With 33 years of experience, Sofie has become a fixture at Synogix. As an internal account, she is the crucial link between customers and internal services. A short introduction!
“My name is Sofie. I have been working for more than thirty years at Cortina, the international family company out of which Synogix was born. Today, I have been working full time for Synogix for almost one and a half years. We are a logistics service provider specialized in the processing of fashion-related products, such as shoes, textiles and all kinds of accessories. Worldwide, we pick up products, store them and prepare orders for stores and end-consumers.”
Administrative jack-of-all-trades
“My range of tasks within Synogix is quite broad. On the one hand, I am the first point of contact for our customers. On the other hand, I am the link between customers and our internal services such as warehouse, transport, IT and finance. With good communication and a lot of enthusiasm, I make sure that everything runs smoothly between all parties. In addition, I also follow up on the administration, so that all orders can be quickly traced in our systems.”
No challenge too big
“What I love about my job at Synogix? Definitely the day-to-day diversity! Every day, I encounter new challenges, but that’s what keeps it so interesting. I enjoy using my organizational skills to find the best solution. And when a customer then forwards an email from their customer, thanking us for the quick service and perfect delivery, that’s truly the icing on the cake.”
Colleagues among each other
“In addition to diversity, I also really enjoy the contact with customers. One customer even told me that they consider me a colleague outside their company (laughs). That, in combination with the contact with colleagues from different departments. I enjoy helping everyone here. And because I’ve been working here for so long, I often function as an internal point of contact for all questions. I would even dare to say that they sometimes see me as a kind of mother figure. Synogix is part of a family business, and I really feel part of that family as well.”
Team spirit on and off the work floor
“I work at our site in Oudenaarde: a beautiful location that is easily accessible by car. Anyone who starts working for us will be joining a company with a pleasant atmosphere. Even though we are with many colleagues, there are short communication lines and you really get to know everyone in the company. And this pleasant atmosphere is noticeable both on and off the work floor. Every now and then we do something fun after work. So at Synogix, effort is definitely rewarded with pleasure.”
